A woman found dead in a wheelie bin that was dumped in a paddock in Victoria’s southwest has been identified by loved ones as a mother-of-one.
A body believed to be that of Chaithanya “Swetha” Madhagani was discovered on Mount Pollock Rd in the town of Buckley, near Winchelsea, about 40km from Geelong, about noon on Saturday.
7NEWS understands police were tipped off by an anonymous call in the morning and found the body stuffed inside a wheelie bin and tied with a string.

A second crime scene believed to be connected to the death was established at the home of Madhagani and husband Ashok Raj Varikuppala in Point Cook, about 84km away, by afternoon.
Investigators believe those involved are known to one another, and the offender may have fled overseas.
It is not yet known how long the body had been on the side of the road, or how it got there.
Neighbour Eric Lewis, who owns the adjoining property, told 7NEWS he was shocked by the grim discovery.
“I’ve never seen a wheelie bin laying in there and I go up and down here quite often shooting rabbits,” he said.
“There mightn’t be three or four cars a day down here, that’s all.
“It’s something Buckley’s never seen.”
Investigators are treating the woman’s death as suspicious. No arrests have been made.
