Chad Satchell was due to perform for a group of 50 women on a party bus in August 2022 when his SWAT costume sparked a police operation and plunged King Street into lockdown.
He was charged with being in possession of a prohibited weapon - a gel blaster which he had brought along with him as part of his act - and being armed with intent to cause fear.
Almost two years since his arrest, Satchell arrived at court today flanked by his parents and pregnant wife.
Magistrate Sarah Oliver found Satchell guilty of weapon possession but not guilty of the intent to cause fear.
"It may have been a different scenario if he was pretending to hold up the party bus," Oliver said.
"He relatively discretely moved the item without constituting any threat to any person."
Satchell was awarded $2500 in costs for his acquittal on one charge but fined $500 for the other.
The arrest led Satchell to shutdown his adult entertainment business.
He is now employed as a fly-in, fly-out worker and is starting a family.
