Friends of former TV presenter Jesse Baird have revealed he was having issues with someone in his life in the lead-up to his alleged murder, saying there were warning signs something was wrong.
The bodies of Baird, 26, and his partner Luke Davies, 29, were found inside surfboard bags at the fence line of a rural property in Bungonia near Goulburn, about 200km southwest of Sydney, on Tuesday.

NSW Police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon, 28, is in custody after being charged with killing the men at Baird’s home in Paddington on February 19.
Police allege the murder of Baird was premeditated, while Davies, a former Qantas flight attendant, was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Investigators allege the crimes followed a months-long campaign of “predatory behaviour” by the charged officer, culminating in the fatal shooting.
Friend and TV presenter Craig Bennett said Baird had mentioned there had been “something not so pleasant going on in his private life” in the weeks before his death.
“Not a lot ever got Jesse down,” he told 7NEWS.
“He just mentioned there had been this weirdness.
“He mentioned there’d been somebody, he mentioned it hadn’t finished so well.”
Friend Trinity echoed this, telling 7NEWS: “Some odd things were happening to Jesse over the period him and Beau were involved.”
“They weren’t in a relationship together,” she added.
Friends said Baird’s car had been vandalised and sabotaged.
“Jesse couldn’t come to see me because mysteriously, water came into his engine and his fuel,” friend Isaac Muller told 7NEWS.
Criminologist D Xanthe Mallet said escalating behaviours, such as physical interactions and damaged property, were “certainly indicators that things could get more serious”.
Lamarre-Condon allegedly shot the duo with his police-issued firearm before transporting their bodies to the rural area.
He later returned that firearm to a police safe.
Investigators believe the accused murderer used bullets stolen from a shooting range to avoid suspicion if some were missing from work.
Two days before the killings, Lamarre-Condon allegedly bought a surfboard cover at a store at Miranda, in Sydney’s south, to carry Baird’s body.
Police said after the alleged murders, he went back and bought a second board cover.
Tributes flow
A floral tribute is continuing to grow at Baird’s Paddington address, as loved ones share memories of the 26-year-old.
Muller said his former colleague was “full of life”.
“He was bold, he was loud, he was happy,” he told 7NEWS.
“If you walked into a room, he would just be smiling.”
A close friend of Davies, who has organised a fundraiser, has described the 29-year-old as the “most thoughtful, caring and loving human being”.
“Living his absolute best life and bringing sunshine to everyone he met,” friend Jessica Vaux told 7NEWS.com.au.
“He will forever hold a special spot in the hearts of everyone he knew, and I know we will all treasure every memory for the rest of our lives.”
Qantas will pay tribute to Davies on its Mardi Gras parade float following the flight attendant’s alleged murder.
The parade will run through Oxford St in Darlinghurst, not far from Baird’s house in Paddington, on Saturday.
Qantas routinely participates in the parade with floats themed around its aircraft, but the airline has not confirmed what form its tribute will take.
NSW Police will also march in the parade after reaching a compromise with organisers, having previously been uninvited after Lamarre-Condon was charged.
Officers will march out of uniform as part of the agreement.
