A "broken" family is demanding justice after a loving grandmother's death in a collision north of Perth.
Police say Kyla Jones, 53, was hit by a dirt bike being driven illegally by a 14-year-old boy, who was too young to hold a road licence, in Lacelin, 90 minutes north of Perth.
Jones died from her injuries at the scene at 9.30pm on Friday and the teen is fighting for life at Royal Perth Hospital.
Jones' husband Murray Thomas said his wife was "extremely loving, giving and generous".
He said the family was "broken and devastated" and added that his wife's father had died just six weeks ago.
He said they want to make sure "justice is applied to those who may have contributed to the totally unnecessary death".
Police are calling for witnesses to the accident.
Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
