NSW Police said a 16-year-old in the front seat died at the scene.
Another 10-year-old girl, believed to be her sister, was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
"The driver of the semi-trailer was taken to Dubbo Hospital in a stable condition," police said.
It's understood the Gold Coast girls were travelling with their mother to Melbourne for her shows this weekend and then planned to drive to Sydney for next weekend's concerts.
