Now turning to South Australia, where total fire bans are in place across much of the state and firefighters are facing serious conditions.
Several districts are under the extreme fire danger rating, with temperatures expected to reach 45 degrees.
The Flinders, Mid North, Mount Lofty Ranges, Riverland, Murrayland, Upper and Lower South East all have total fire bans today.
There are currently two grass fires burning in the state, with one at the Stott Highway near Swan Reach and a second at Bletchley and Meechie Roads in the Mount Lofty Ranges.
An earlier fire burning at Nickolls Road, Pinnaroo had been "secured" by firefighters.
Emergency Services Minister Joe Szakacs this week urged South Australians to be alert to the dangers.
"We are, as a state, facing some serious conditions."
