NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio
Drug abuse, Rustic Drive: On Nov. 10, police observed a gray Chrysler roll through a stop sign on Jupiter Drive.
The vehicle was eventually pulled over on Rustic Drive. While talking to the driver, the officer smelled marijuana.
The driver denied having anything illegal in the Chrysler. Even after mentioning the odor, the man still denied having any marijuana.
However, he told the officer he worked at a marijuana cultivation center where he “trims buds” all day. He provided the officer with several papers from Buckeye Relief.
When the officer told the man he was going to search the Chrysler, the driver became very defensive, argumentative and nervous.
At that point the driver admitted to having marijuana in the Chrysler. The man was cited for drug abuse and not stopping for a stop sign.
Drug abuse, W. 130th Street: On Nov. 12, police observed a speeding silver Chevy Trailblazer on W. 130th Street.
When the officer approached the Chevy, the driver popped his head out of the window and said, “What’s up?”
The officer said the driver, who appeared nervous and said he was headed to a friend’s house, admitted to getting pulled over a lot lately.
In plain sight in the backseat were a bong, digital scale and hollowed out cigarillos. After initially denying he had marijuana, the driver changed his mind and said a little bit.
During a search of the Chevy, police found the marijuana, more bongs and mushrooms. Also, the driver had a large amount of money -- $920 in wadded up bills -- he said was from his work in food distribution.
The driver was cited for drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.
