Major crime detectives were called to Curramulka, almost 200km from Adelaide, where they found Kevin Jewell's white 2008 Mitsubishi Triton ute and a body 150 metres away.
SA Police confirmed the body is believed to be the 55-year-old murder suspect.
"Major Crime detectives and Forensic Response Section are making their way to the Curramulka property and will conduct a coronial investigation into the man's death," police said in a statement.
"There are no suspicious circumstances."
Jewell was last seen on Tuesday night near Port Wakefield an hour after he allegedly shot and killed his wife Jodie Jewell at their Modbury North home.
Ms Jewell's body was found by police at the home after a concerned friend called about her welfare.
Detective Superintendent Des Bray said Ms Jewell had disclosed to the friend that she had been a victim of domestic violence in recent times.
When Mr Jewell couldn't be located after the grim discovery, it sparked a statewide manhunt for his whereabouts.
