Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has introduced Chris Minns as the NSW premier-elect after a landslide win for the Labor party.
"Tonight the people of NSW have come together to choose a better future," he said.
"Tonight a fresh start for NSW begins."
Albanese said the fresh start begins with a great leader with "vision, compassion and integrity".
"A leader guided by fairness, equality and a fair go," he said.
"A leader whose instinct is always to bring people together."
Albanese said Minns knows what really matters for NSW and he commended Minns for being a great leader for Labor in the state.
"No matter where you live or who you voted for today, Chris Minns will be your premier," Albanese added.
