The Great Debate: Follow live updates as Perrottet, Minns go head-to-head ahead of NSW election - 9News

Now we're talking about Liberal's big policy - the kids' future fund - which promises nest eggs for all NSW children to turn 18 with up to $50,000.

But we're getting into the nuances of it. Perrottet said the fund is only available for children born in NSW or who have one parent who is a citizen in NSW.

So a child born in Gold Coast but moves to NSW at two months old wouldn't be eligible.

Minns said his major objection with the Liberal's future fund is the "long-term interest" of NSW residents and the debt.

He wouldn't even support it if it were means tested - meaning families with less money being eligible for more funds in the policy.

Minns said instead we should be focusing on the education system and setting them up there, retaining teachers and keeping kids focused without mobile phones.

Adblock test (Why?)
