Two people will share in the $100 million Powerball jackpot after Thursday night’s draw.
The $100 million was the equal biggest Lotto prize offered this year.
The winning numbers were 13, 7, 18, 1, 23, 25, 33 and the Powerball was 7.
Around half of all Australian adults were expected to have an entry in the draw, which was the fifth biggest jackpot in Australian lotto history.
Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said the last time Powerball hit $100 million was in June.
“A dad from New South Wales became Australia’s second-biggest individual lottery winner after scoring the entire $100 million jackpot,” he said.
This was the seventh time Powerball offered a $100 million prize in the game’s 27-year history.
So far in 2023, there have been nine division one winning entries that collectively have taken home more than $254 million in prize money.
Four of these wins landed in New South Wales, two in South Australia and one each in Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia.
The most frequently drawn winning numbers from the main barrel were 17, 7, 9, 3 and 28, while the least frequently drawn are 31, 33, 34, 15 and 1.
The most frequently drawn Powerball numbers are 2, 3 and 19, while the least frequently drawn Powerball numbers are 14 and 16.
WA’s biggest win was in 2021 when a group of 55 women from a northern suburbs gym claimed the entire $80 million Powerball prize.
