Police have scaled back their search for a 19-year-old woman who went missing in remote north-west Queensland more than a fortnight ago.
Key points:
- Tèa Wright-Finger has not been seen since October 16
- A long-running land-and-air search of the Richmond area has now been scaled down
- Investigations into her disappearance are ongoing
Tèa Wright-Finger was last seen on October 16 in the Richmond area, about 400 kilometres east of Mount Isa.
Police said a friend dropped the teenager at a blue Toyota Prado outside town that afternoon.
Police later revealed the four-wheel drive had been stolen from Proserpine "as a result of a fraud-related offence" two days before her disappearance.
A major land-and-air search was launched on October 22 involving police, SES volunteers, landholders, council staff and several aircraft.
Search and rescue teams have spent days scouring scrub and bushland on foot and in all-terrain vehicles.
Officers have also conducted inquiries at local stations and properties in the Richmond area.
With no sightings of Ms Wright-Finger or the vehicle, police said the search operation had been scaled back.
Police said investigations into her disappearance were continuing and officers remained in close contact with Ms Wright-Finger's family.
The teenager had worked on cattle stations in the area and her last listed address was in the Northern Territory.
Investigators have urged anyone with information about the teenager's whereabouts to come forward and report it to crimestoppers or call 1800 333 000.
