Brisbane Airport domestic terminal declared close contact exposure site - ABC News

Queensland Health is urging anyone who was at Brisbane Airport's domestic terminal on Friday and Saturday to monitor their symptoms after a person with COVID-19 visited the area.

The case, which has been counted in NSW figures, was at the domestic terminal on Friday and Saturday morning.

Anyone who was at Gate 24 between 6:18am and 7:00am on Saturday is considered a close contact.

Close contacts are required to immediately self-isolate and get a COVID-19 test as soon as possible.

Travellers or employees who were at the domestic terminal between 8:25am and 9:00am on Friday and 6:00am and 7:00am on Saturday are considered low-risk contacts.

"We are asking all Queenslanders to regularly monitor the list of exposure venues on the Queensland Health website and follow the public health advice, as there may be more locations," a Queensland Health statement said.

Queensland has not recorded a locally acquired cases since October 5, with just 14 cases in hotel quarantine recorded in that period.

The low case numbers led to parts of the state's south-east and Townsville easing some restrictions last Friday.

Around 7,000 tests were conducted on Sunday.

More than 25,500 vaccine doses have been delivered by Queensland Health in the past 24 hours.

A home quarantine trial is set to start on Monday for 1,000 returning Queenslanders
