A soaking, steady rain Friday could lead to flooding in parts of the midstate, forecasters said in a hazardous weather outlook.
One to two inches of rain will fall Friday afternoon into the evening, according to the National Weather Service.
The weather outlook was issued Friday morning for the entire midstate. The probability of widespread hazardous weather is low, forecasters said.
Although the heaviest rain may not fall until the afternoon, showers could start any time after 9 a.m., forecasters said. More than 30 mph winds are possible during the day and could remain gusty in the evening.
Rain is likely after 9 a.m. Saturday, on an otherwise overcast day, according to the NWS. Forecasters said the weekend will finish out with some sunshine and highs in the low 60s.
Early forecasts for next week call for more sunshine and 60-degree weather Monday.
