A group of good Samaritans ran to help of drivers after a major crash in Sydney's Inner West.
Emergency services reported that eight cars and a truck were involved in a crash on Parramatta Road at Five Dock just before 5pm on Friday.
Police said that the truck continued through the intersection and mounted the kerb heading eastbound when a Holden Captiva collided with a stopped Nissan X-Trail in the westbound lane.
Video footage of a group of tradies trying to turn over one of the vehicles has emerged.
Other good Samaritans rushed to help as drivers became stuck in their cars, as others were injured from the crash.
"It was very scary," one driver involved in the crash told 9News.
"I'm just happy that we were okay, [I had] a passenger so as long as she's all good, I'm all good."
The 53-year-old truck driver was released by police overnight.
NSW Ambulance said there were nine patients assessed at the scene, with six people transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The patients included a 47-year-old female driver and a 56-year-old male passenger, a 33-year-old female driver, a 62-year-old male driver, a 56-year-old male driver and his 57-year-old passenger.
Four others, a 27-year-old female, a 54-year-old female, a 23-year-old female, a 23-year-old female, were uninjured.
Both lanes of the road remained closed late into the night.
