At the Open to watch Alex de Minaur and Andrey Rublev at Tennis Australia’s invitation-only O area on Sunday night were Goldman Sachs chair Josh Frydenberg and wife Amie.
They sat in the front row for the match next to Tennis Australia chair and Virgin chief executive Jayne Hydrlicka and Nine chief executive Mike Sneesby.
Also in a prime front-row seat was tennis legend Rod Laver enjoying the match at his namesake venue, and broadcaster Libbi Gorr.

Barbora Krejcikova has outlasted teenager Mirra Andreeva to make the quarter-finals of the Australian Open.
The Czech No.9 seed won 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
She let out a huge scream after the win, as she really had to battle against the 16-year-old. Krejcikova will face reigning champion Aryna Sabalenka in the quarters.

The air has gone out of Rod Laver Arena, at least for the moment, as Rublev breaks de Minaur in the fourth game of the first set.
Now he will serve to try to consolidate that break.
Tough moment for the Demon, and a big chance for Rublev to stamp his mark on this first set.

Rublev’s rocky emotions were on show in the early points as he fumed about the wind and its influence on his ball toss.
He made two double faults to hand two break points to the Aussie, and de Minaur had a volley at the net for the break but sadly, smacked it into the net.
