Melbourne Stars wicketkeeper Sam Harper has been cleared of an acute fracture and soft tissue injury after being struck in the head by a ball while batting at a training session on Friday night.

Harper suffered a laceration on his chin and neck when he was hit while attempting a ramp shot during the net session at the MCG.
He was taken to hospital in an ambulance and underwent scans after staying overnight.
The 27-year-old will be monitored by doctors during the coming days.
Harper was preparing for Saturday night's BBL home match against the Sydney Sixers at the MCG, which he will now miss.
His place in the Stars squad will be taken by Peter Handscomb, who was signed by the club following Harper's injury.
Harper, a former Melbourne Renegades player, has a history of concussions and was sidelined for several weeks in 2017 after South Australia's Jake Lehmann accidentally struck him in the head with his bat.
Harper spent almost a month in a dark hospital room afterwards and initially needed a walking frame.
He called it "the worst three weeks" of his life.
In 2020, Harper was also taken to hospital after he hit his head on the ground in a freak collision with Hobart Hurricanes player Nathan Ellis while playing for the Renegades.
