Nine local governments will receive a top-up payment of $1 million each and $5 million for tourism operators.
"It is a difficult period going forward and we'll continue to work across the three levels of government to make a difference," Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said in Cairns.
"Queensland just getting things done," Albanese said.
"Queensland is repairing from the damage and really looking out for each other."
He thanked emergency services who had travelled from Queensland's south to assist.
Albanese pushed for Australians and international tourists to still holiday in Cairns to help boost their economy during the clean-up.
"We need to make sure that as the floodwaters recede, the visits to this beautiful part of Australia don't recede with them," he said.
"We want people to come here in increasing numbers, not reduced numbers, in order to provide support as this community recovers."
Queensland Premier Steven Miles said they would continue to look at what the region needs throughout the recovery to ensure they are delivering it.
Miles encouraged families to holiday in Cairns and for businesses to hold conferences at the convention centre to support the city.
Cyclone Jasper left 40,000 households and businesses without power when it hit near Wujal Wujal, about 115 kilometres north of Cairns, as a Category Two system.
The flooding caused more than 100 residents to be flown from the remote far north community of Wujal Wujal to Cooktown after being stranded for days.
Dozens of communities remain cut-off just days out from Christmas.
The only way to send essentials north of Cairns is by boat as the normally picture-perfect 70-kilometre stretch of the Captain Cook Highway is littered with landslides.
It could be weeks before the road is repaired, which has left the holiday hotspot of Port Douglas isolated and quickly running out of supplies.
