"I just want to take you quickly through the coronavirus numbers of the day. Now, just three active cases across the state and no new cases. That's the 14th day in a row of no new cases across our state.
"We have conducted a total of 3,375,716 tests. We've had results back from that many Victorians since the beginning of the pandemic, and 12,001 test results received since yesterday.
"Can I thank each of those 12,000 Victorians who went and got tested just about 24 hours before. 99 per cent of those test results came back within one day.
"It's such a powerful and important thing for people to go and get tested as soon as they've got any sense of symptoms, even the mildest symptoms. It's how we wrap a public health response around your family, keep them safe, and in turn keep every single family safe.
"We've seen test numbers this week that have been truly impressive, and they really are the key, the absolute key, to us keeping these numbers low. Whether they're zero every day, that's not the aim. The aim is to have as low a numbers as possible and be able to stop the spread of this virus as we take safe and cautious steps to open up.
"Getting tested, and getting tested as soon as you register those symptoms, is so, so important.
"So, I thank each and every one of those 12,000 Victorians. Of course, with 14 consecutive days of zero cases, the rolling average is zero. There is just one mystery case to November 10, and beyond that I don't need to provide any further numbers, as conditions have improved."
