‘You should not approach them’: Warning to public in major police manhunt - Sky News Australia

A major manhunt is underway for three prisoners who escaped from a Queensland correctional facility over the weekend.

Police are seeking the assistance from the public in the search for Daniel Badcock, 32, Osiah Pilton, 20, and Antonio David Mene, 28, whose whereabouts remain unknown.

The three men fled from the Palen Creek Correctional Centre in Rathdowney, about 90 kilometres south-west of the Gold Coast, on Sunday.

Queenslanders have been warned to stay away from the men and immediately call police if they spot any of the prisoners.

Badcock, who is described as medium build, about 175cm tall and had brown hair, was serving one year for sell posses and or use prohibited weapons and explosives.

The 32-year-old has a distinctive tattoo on the left side of his face that reads "diamond" as well as another over the right eye that says "opmerta".

He has several other inks on his body, including a skull face and wall on the left arm, skulls on his left leg and knuckle duster on his right hand.

Pilton was serving a 21 month sentence for entering dwelling with intent without violence or threats.

He is described as medium build, about 176cm tall and has black hair.

The 20-year-old has "mum" tattooed above his left wrist, a blue diamond on his left leg and markings also on the right arm and knee.

Mene was serving three years for illegal use of a motor vehicle.

He is about 170cm tall with black hair and of a light build.

The 28-year-old has a full calf tattoo on his right leg and four dots on the thumb of his left hand. "F.T.P." is also inked on his lower left forearm.

Anyone with information of the whereabouts or spots any of the three men are urged to call Triple-0 immediately or 131 44.
