Self-proclaimed 'barefoot gypsy' accused of random arson attack that killed Queensland dad and young daughter - 9News

The woman accused of killing a schoolgirl and her father in an allegedly random arson attack has been identified as 24-year-old Kristen Leslie Olsen.

Baker Todd Mooney, 54, and his daughter Kirra, 10, perished after a fire tore through a large shed at their home on Fenwicks Road, Biggenden at about 12.20pm on December 20.

Olsen faced court today over their deaths but officers have still yet to establish any motive behind the attack and it is believed the duo were not known to her before their deaths.

The 24-year-old was charged with two counts of murder and one count of arson yesterday.

Olsen is a prolific social media user who describes herself as a "small-town barefoot gypsy".

She recently returned to live in her hometown of Maryborough, which is located about an hour away from the Biggenden property.

Police had been searching for her white Holden Barina wagon, which was later found burnt out alongside a trailer and caravan.

Police allege it was set alight on the same day as the fatal Biggenden blaze.

Officers encourage anyone who may have seen the car on December 20 to contact them as they continue to piece together the events that led to the deaths.
