A man and woman charged with the murder and torture of their seven-month-old baby boy are due to face a Queensland court today.
Reinhardt (Ryan) Albert Bosch, 33, and Noemi Kondacs, 22, were yesterday charged with one count each of murder and torture after police found the baby boy dead at a residence at Yugar, north-west of Brisbane on Thursday morning.
Mr Bosch has also been charged with assaults occasioning bodily harm whilst armed.
Police were called to a home on Mount Samson Road at 6:45am, where they found the child and declared a crime scene.
The pair are expected to face the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
Queensland police Commissioner Katarina Carroll told ABC Radio Brisbane it was a "terrible scene".
"Getting a brief from my officers, it was just the most horrendous and confronting scene that you could ever face as a police officer," she said.
"Truly sad that the most vulnerable in the community aren't better protected, it was a terrible scene."
She said the pair are the parents of the child.
Police said neither the pair nor the address were known to police — and that they lived together in the home.
Police said initial investigations indicated the child did not have any underlying health issues.
