Two road workers have been injured in a fiery crash on the NSW Central Coast that’s caused long delays on the M1 motorway.
Police said a semi-trailer crashed through a work zone, at the southbound lanes of the M1, at Kangy Angy, and hit two stationary vehicles that then hit two workmen.

Both men suffered serious injuries and have been taken to hospital for further treatment. One man’s condition is considered serious, the other is believed to be stable.
The semi-trailer caught alight but the driver was able to free himself and escaped injury. He will be taken to hospital for mandatory tests.
The southbound lanes of the M1 were closed for some time, with local diversions in place.
By 7am, contra flow traffic conditions were in place, with two southbound lanes available in the northbound carriageway.
Traffic is heavy in both directions on the motorway, as well as on Hue Hue Road, Sparks Road, and the Pacific Highway through Wyong.
Motorists have been advised to consider delaying their trips, or allow plenty of extra travel time.
NSW Rural Fire Service and NSW Fire and Rescue crews attended the scene and extinguished the fire.
They remain at the scene of the accident waiting on the arrival of machinery to break up the vehicle so it can be removed from the road.
