Two people have been charged over the alleged murder of a woman who was fatally stabbed in the neck at a Townsville unit complex on Friday night.
Kayla Golding, 29, was found lying on the footpath in a pool of blood after she was allegedly stabbed with a large hunting knife at a unit on Riverway Drive in Condon.
Ms Golding was taken to the Townsville University Hospital but died a short time later.
Jamie Allan McAuliffe, 39, handed himself in to police about 1:30pm on Sunday and was charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
Police then conducted a search of a West End property before taking 29-year-old Chante Lee White into custody, just after 4:30pm.
She was charged with murder and her matter was briefly mentioned in the Townsville magistrates court this morning.
Ms White did not appear in court and there was no application for bail.
Mr McAuliffe's matter was also briefly mentioned and adjourned in court this morning.
Police said it was believed the man and woman were known to Ms Golding.
