New South Wales health authorities have confirmed seven new cases of coronavirus, all coming from returned travellers in the state’s hotel quarantine.
The state’s health department in the 24-hour period up to 8pm on Saturday has recorded no new locally acquired cases of coronavirus.
It is the third day in a row the state has not recorded a new COVID-19 case transmitted locally.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, NSW has recorded 4193 COVID-19 cases.
In the past 24 hours, 12,465 tests were conducted across the state, which is still below the Premier’s daily target of 20,000 tests.
NSW Health are treating 77 people for COVID-19, with no patients in intensive care.
“It is vital if that you come for testing right away if you have even the mildest of symptoms like a runny nose, scratchy throat, cough, fever or any other symptoms that could signal COVID-19,” chief medical officer, Dr Christine Selvey said.
There are more than 300 testing locations across NSW.
