An early-morning jogger has discovered a woman's body floating in the water at a beach next to a popular walking track in Melbourne's southeast.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman confirmed to Daily Mail Australia the woman was found in the water off Cole Street, Brighton, on Monday at about 7am.
'A passing jogger located the deceased woman in the water,' the spokesperson said.
'Police are investigating to determine whether the death is suspicious.'

The body was found near the picturesque Bay Trail - a paved walkway by the water connecting Brighton to Ricketts Point.
The trail was busy on Monday morning when the jogger made the grim discovery.
Cops have cordoned off the area as investigations continue.
