A man has been arrested after smashing into several parked cars at a Sydney shopping centre and assaulting two officers.
A NSW Police spokeswoman told NCA NewsWire officers tried to stop the van about 12.30pm on Wednesday on Stacey St in Bankstown, but the man failed to pull over.
The driver then allegedly crashed into multiple vehicles at the Bankstown Central shopping centre.
Police tried to stop the man, during which he allegedly assaulted two officers, the spokeswoman said.
Video of the rampage, filmed by a witness, shows the white van swerving through the busy carpark and crashing into several parked cars before coming to a stop.
Officers appear to drag him out of the vehicle, but he struggles with police for a while before he is eventually wrestled to the ground.
A small crowd of onlookers were also dispersed.
Police confirmed the man was arrested and taken to Bankstown police station.
He is expected to face charges.
