Victoria records no coronavirus cases and no deaths for seventh straight day - ABC News

Victoria has recorded a seventh consecutive day of no new coronavirus cases and no deaths, the state's health department says.

Melbourne's 14-day rolling average of new cases has dropped to 1.3, while the average for regional Victoria is unchanged at zero.

The number of Melbourne cases from the past two weeks with an unknown source of infection remains at two.

Yesterday, it was revealed the state's last remaining active case linked to aged care had been cleared, meaning there were no active cases in the sector.

It was the first time the state has had no active cases linked to aged care since June 15.

Victoria's death toll from the pandemic remains at 819.

More to come.
