(SILVER SPRING, MD)July 7, 2020 – Christmas comes early this year with TV One’s festive Christmas in July movie marathon airing on Sunday, July 12 from 12 p.m. ET to 12 a.m. ET. Viewers can binge watch a collection of TV One’s original holiday movies while enjoying the warm temperatures. The featured films include MISS ME THIS CHRISTMAS, YOU CAN’T FIGHT CHRISTMAS, MERRY WISHMAS, MERRY EX-MAS, COINS FOR CHRISTMAS, CHRISTMAS SWAP and DEAR SANTA, I NEED A DATE.

Miss Me This Christmas

Airs: 12 p.m. ET

Miss Me This Christmas, starring Erica Ash (Jean of the Joneses, Survivor’s Remorse)Redaric Williams (The Quad, Young and the Restless), Eva Marcille (Real Housewives of Atlanta, America’s Next Top Model)Allen Maldonado (Black-ish, Ringside) and Nathan Davis Jr. (Detroit), is the story of “perfect couple” Regina (Ash) and Franklin (Williams).  The pair celebrated a fairytale Christmas wedding three years ago and seemed to have it all, but now their marriage is on the rocks. When Franklin comes home at dawn after a night of partying with colleagues, Regina thinks he has cheated on her with his ex-girlfriend. Though Franklin denies it, the trust has been broken. Fortunately, there may be a happy ending after all. And just in time for Christmas.

You Can’t Fight Christmas

Airs: 2 p.m. ET

You Can’t Fight Christmas stars Brély Evans (Being Mary Jane, Born Again Virgin)Andra Fuller (Here We Go Again, Black Jesus)Persia White (Girlfriends)Richard Gant (The Mindy Project) and Marla Gibbs (227).  The story begins with the annual holiday decorating of the Chesterton Hotel by interior design expert Leslie Major (Evans).  She is hard at work managing the transformation when she meets and develops a crush on the hotel owner’s handsome grandson, Edmund James (Fuller). Soon she discovers that Edmund and his uptight business partner, Millicent (White), have secret plans – they intend to completely revamp the hotel into an upscale business resort once Edmund inherits it from his grandfather. Scheming Millicent also has plans for Edmund that involve a wedding ring. Tune into to see if Leslie can save the hotel and its Christmas legacy.

Merry Wishmas

Airs: 4 p.m. ET

Merry Wishmas, starring Tamela Mann (The Manns), David Mann (The Manns), Kim Fields (Living Single), Towanda Braxton (Braxton Family Values), Chrystale Wilson (The Players Club) and Elizabeth Omilami (Madea’s Family Reunion), revolves around successful businesswoman Kenni (Tamela Mann) who hasn’t returned home to her quaint, home town of Columbia, South Carolina, in years. She’s hoping for a peaceful visit when she finally returns home, but unresolved family issues threaten to make the Christmas holiday not so bright. She’s reacquainted with Jessie (David Mann), an old high school friend with a fledgling wellness facility – the Beverly Living Center. She’s instantly thrown into the lives of the center’s residents and meets a host of colorful characters. When Jessie is faced with losing the Beverly Living Center, Kenni steps in to try and help save it. However, family conflicts and relationship woes threaten Kenni’s efforts.  It looks like only a miracle can save the center and mend broken relationships in time for Christmas.

Merry Ex-Mas

Airs: 6 p.m. ET

A mild mannered, single mother, Katrina Jackson (Angell Conwell), and A.D.D. sufferer, DeMarco Gamble (London Brown) are two loving parents raising their daughter in separate households. When DeMarco falls in love with another woman, Vilisa Whitaker (Faune Watkins), and plans a Christmas wedding, Katrina sets in motion a diabolical plan to ruin their fairytale nuptials. Sean Patrick Thomas (Save the Last Dance), Clifton Powell (Ray) and Jason Weaver (Drumline) round out the cast.

Coins For Christmas

Airs: 8 p.m. ET

Coins For Christmas chronicles single mom Madison (Atkins) who has saved all year to make sure her teenage kids have the best Christmas ever. That is until she gets fired from the bookstore she manages and comes home to find that the IRS has frozen her bank account due to delinquent taxes her ex-husband failed to pay. Desperate to pay bills and buy gifts for her children, Madison jumps into the ever-popular “gig economy.” That’s when she meets and eventually gets hired by arrogant, sidelined former professional football player Alec Darby (Bishop), who is also secretly on the verge of going broke. This odd couple butts heads time and time again, but find out if the Christmas spirit can help these two get past their bickering and forge a lasting friendship.

The Christmas Swap

Airs: 10 p.m. ET

A down-on-his-luck single father Dondré T. Whitfield (Queen Sugar) questions his decision to give up his dreams to take care of his ailing mother. A Christmas miracle gives him a glimpse of what his life would have been like if he’d made a different choice. The ensemble cast includes Christian Keyes (Saints & Sinners), Tracey Heggins, Stella DoyleDiallo ThompsonDelpaneaux Wills, and Chris Whitley.

 

Dear Santa, I Need a Date

Airs: 12 a.m. ET

Dear Santa, I Need A Date stars Ray J (Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, Moesha), Reagan Gomez-Preston (The Parent ‘Hood, The Cleveland Show), Anne-Marie Johnson (In Living Color, I’m Gonna Git You Sucka), Jay DeVon Johnson (The Favorite), MAJOR. (Star), Reginae Carter (Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta) and B. Simone (Wild ‘N Out, Girls Cruise). The film tells the comedic story of two successful and ambitious siblings Janelle Vaughn (Gomez-Preston) and Jason Vaughn (Ray J). Their parents, Mr. Vaughn (Jay DeVon Johnson) and Mrs. Vaughn (Johnson), are proud of their children’s flourishing careers but are displeased with their dating lives. Every holiday season, the Vaughn’s anxiously prepare for their children to bring home a significant other only to be disappointed. This year, The Vaughn’s apply pressure by expressing their concerns to Jason and Janelle, which sparks a bet between the siblings on who can find a date by Christmas.
