Some rain showers are trying to pop into our viewing area this morning all due to the outer bands of an approaching cold front. Can't rule out the chances for a thunderstorm or two to develop into the morning hours.
The cold front will cross through tonight, but scattered showers and storms will continue into the afternoon and evening. Showers/storms will impact most of the region.
Storms have the chances to become strong just like what we witnessed yesterday. Gusty winds and heavy downpours are likely. Flooding remains a concern today.
Thanks to the cloudy conditions and the rain showers, temperatures will be slightly cooler. Most of the area will hit into the 80s, but a few upper 70s are likely for high temperatures today.
Overnight lows will hit in the 60s. Spotty showers may linger, but most will remain cloudy.
Our Wednesday is all dependent on the position of this frontal system. The front will stall and if it stays more to the south this will allow less coverage of showers/storms. Overall, most model runs are holding onto that scenario. We are giving a 40% chance for showers and a few isolated storms for tomorrow, but that could all change with the newest model runs.
