The man accused of killing Liam Cahill, the apprentice plumber who was allegedly knifed at a Melbourne high-rise, screamed as he was dragged from court after being charged with murder.
Key points:

- Newport man Rian Farrell was visibly distressed in court and clutched at the dock before guards removed him
Rian Farrell, 22, clutched at the dock and wept as his brief appearance in the Melbourne Magistrates' Court came to an end.
The Newport man had to be forcibly removed from the court by two guards, who took him to the cells beneath the building.
As he was hauled away, two friends who had come to show their support, comforted him.
"Stay strong brother, stay strong," yelled one.
"Head up, head up," said another.
Outside, they clashed with the press.
Mr Farrell, who is heavily tattooed, wept as the court heard that it was his first time in custody.
He appeared visibly distressed throughout the hearing and kept looking at his supporters.
Farrell has been charged over the murder of Mr Cahill, also 22, whose body was found inside the M Docklands apartment building, on Latrobe Street, near Docklands Stadium on Saturday night.
Young plumber's friends mourn after 'horrific' death
Meanwhile, a crowdfunding page set up to help Mr Cahill's family with funeral costs has now raised more than $22,000 as of Monday afternoon.
A close friend of Mr Cahill, who asked not to be named, said the young man's death was a "horrible shock".
"I know so many others loved him so, so much," she said.
"He was such a huge part of my life and I'll always cherish the good times we had together, I just wish he had more time to experience life instead of being cut down in his prime.
"It's so horrific the way he went."
Mr Farrell will return to court in August.
