Federal Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese has been taken to hospital after a car crash in Sydney's inner west on Friday afternoon.
A spokesman for Mr Albanese, who is the Labor MP for Grayndler in Sydney, said he was "heavily shaken but he is OK".
NSW Police said emergency services were called to Marrickville following reports that a black Range Rover had collided with Mr Albanese's dark grey Toyota on Hill Street shortly before 5pm.
"Police have been told the 17-year-old driver of the Range Rover was travelling west along Hill Street when it struck the Toyota," police said in a statement.
Paramedics treated Mr Albanese, 57, at the scene before taking him to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.
The spokesman for Mr Albanese said he had been taken to the hospital in Camperdown for X-rays.
There were no injuries to the other driver, the spokesman said.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Their inquiries are continuing.
