Here's what you need to know this morning.
COVID warning for Lakemba
A pop-up coronavirus clinic has been set up in Lakemba in Sydney's south-west after two GPs in the area tested positive to COVID-19.
The cases are linked to a previously reported case of a patient who visited Lakemba Radiology.
Health authorities said anyone who visited the A2Z medical clinic from September 29 to October 10 were considered close contacts of the GPs and must isolate and get tested immediately.
Alerts have also been issued for train services between Wiley Park and Lakemba, and Isra Medical Services in Lakemba.
No more pet bans
Pet owners are celebrating after the NSW Court of Appeal ruled blanket bans on pets in apartments were unlawful as they were "harsh, unconscionable and oppressive".
The decision follows a long legal battle by Johanna and Leo Cooper, who live in an apartment building in Darlinghurst where strata scheme by-laws prohibit all pets.
The court said pets do not adversely affect other occupants' lots, ruling the pet ban seemed to be for the convenience of the strata committee.
The decision was unanimous and will have far-reaching impacts for anyone living in an apartment in NSW who has been previously prohibited from owning so much as a goldfish.
Premier to face grilling
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian is set for a grilling in Question Time today following her evidence to the state's corruption watchdog yesterday.
Ms Berejiklian revealed a five-year relationship with former MP Daryl Maguire, who resigned from Parliament in disgrace in 2018 following a corruption probe.
She was giving evidence into another inquiry into Mr Maguire's conduct, which is examining whether he used his political influence for financial benefit.
Ms Berejiklian shrugged off calls to resign, admitting she "stuffed up" in her personal life but had done nothing wrong professionally.
Cyclist axe attack
A man has had the tip of his finger severed during a road rage incident with a cyclist in Sydney's south west.
The 52-year-old man began arguing with the male cyclist after almost hitting him with his car door at Campsie on Sunday.
The cyclist threatened the man with two large axes and the pair became involved in a fight where the tip of the man's finger was cut off.
The cyclist has been charged with grievous bodily harm, affray, assault and drug possession.
Coercive control reform
The NSW Government is pushing to hold a public inquiry into coercive control which could see new offences brought in to tackle this form of domestic abuse.
Coercive control is repeated patterns of non-physical behaviour which can include psychological, emotional and financial abuse.
NSW Attorney-General and Minister for the Prevention of Violence Mark Speakman said the Government would move this week to set up an inquiry.
"The horrific rate of domestic violence murders in Australia remains stubbornly consistent, and coercive and controlling behaviour is a common precursor to intimate partner homicide," Mr Speakman said.
