Keeping in mind the needs of a holiday season, Microsoft is offering a new 24 hours video calling option on Microsoft Teams that can be used by the users for free. It’ll also allow users to create a Microsoft Teams meeting with up to 300 friends and family without any charge, reports the Verge.

What’s awesome is that users won’t even need to own a Microsoft account or even the Microsoft Teams app since users can join in the meeting directly through a web browser. The Teams app will also offer support for up to 49 friends or family in a gallery view using its ‘Together Mode’ feature.
The report notes that Microsoft is aiming for its Teams app to act as a medium for families and friends to connect with each other during the upcoming Thanksgiving. Since pandemic rules are preventing people from traveling and having a family gathering, Microsoft Teams will be a reliable platform to hold the celebrations virtually.

For those wondering how to get started with the all-day video feature, the one organizing the meeting (meeting host) needs to visit Microsoft’s new Teams web link where they’ll have to sign-in with their Microsoft account. Once done, create a video meeting and then all you have to do is share the link with your loved ones. They’ll be then able to directly join the meeting through their web browser sans the charge, Microsoft account, or the Teams app.
