Three more arrested over death of Jarrad Lovison - The Age

Three people have been arrested and police have carried out more raids as they continue to investigate the death of Newborough man Jarrad Lovison.

The arrests come a day after a Moe woman was charged with murder over the death of the 37-year-old, who went missing in suspicious circumstances six months ago.

His body was found in bushland in Moondara in May.

On Wednesday morning detectives from the missing persons squad arrested another three people, and search warrants were executed in several locations in Gippsland, including a home in Willow Grove, where a 28-year-old man was arrested.

A second man, aged 47 and from Moe, and a 44-year-old woman from Trafalgar were arrested at a home in March Street in Moe when it was raided just after 6am.

Another search warrant was executed at a property on Anzac Road in Trafalgar.

The trio remain in custody and police expected to execute further warrants throughout Wednesday.

The 24-year-old woman who has been charged with murder appeared at Latrobe Valley Magistrates Court on Tuesday and has been remanded in custody to reappear in January.

Police on Tuesday said a white Toyota had been seized as part of the investigation and would be forensically examined this week.

Mr Lovison disappeared from the side of Moe-Walhalla Road during the early hours of April 16.

His body was found at Moondara on May 23 following extensive appeals for information.

Tuesday's arrest followed an emotional appeal from Mr Lovison's father, who pleaded with Victorians earlier this month to help catch his son's killer.

John Lovison said his family was "living in hell" not knowing what happened to Mr Lovison, who has been described as a 215-centimetre "gentle giant".

Missing persons squad detectives had previously thought Mr Lovison was last seen alive about 9.45pm on April 15, riding his bike along March Street in Newborough.

But in early October they said further investigations had uncovered a new sighting that led them to believe Mr Lovison was still alive the following morning at 3am, riding his bicycle to meet an "associate" on Moe-Walhalla Road.

Detectives are also investigating a reported sighting of his green bike propped against a tree on Becks Bridge Road, north of Adam View Court, about 2.30pm on April 18.
