MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) -
This evening we have had a few scattered showers but they have cleared from our area leaving us a bit muggy outside, but mostly dry. Tomorrow morning as you are driving to work these showers could return. By 6 AM we will be in the lower 70′s, touching the mid 70′s by 7 AM, and staying there by 8 AM. We are seeing a 40% chance of rain and that chance will go up to 50% by 8 AM. As you walk out the door I would grab your rain jacket because the rain will start in the morning, and stick around all day. Using the E-M-E-P-A live radar we can see we are mostly clear but there are a few showers lingering around us.
Tonight will be a great time to use the rest of your fireworks from yesterday because the firework forecast sponsored by Tate’s fireworks predicts we will have a few clouds in the sky but we will be dry. We will be in the mid 70′s as well so it will be more mild than it was all day today. We are seeing 75 in Meridian, 74 in Quitman, and again a few cloud that will be hanging around in about 45 minutes.
Overnight we will be mostly clear and see temperatures in the lower 70′s by morning. By noon, the afternoon showers come right back and we will be in the mid 80′s. These showers will be a bit heavier than the showers today and we could see a quarter of an inch of rain. Through the afternoon more showers will fire up and we will have more widespread rain. We will see temperatures in the upper 80′s and lower 90′s. By the time you are going to bed tomorrow we will see the rain clear out and we will be in the mid to upper 70′s. For the rest of the week we will see more rain, but it will knock our temperatures down a few degrees.
Tomorrow would be a great day to go shopping with rain chances lasting all day. Grab your mask and go to your favorite local boutique. By 7 AM we will be in the mid 70′s, by noon we will see the lower 80′s, and by 4 Pm we will see the upper 80′s. I would go ahead and download the WTOK weather app so that you can stay up to date on the rain moving through.
Tomorrow and Tuesday we are seeing an 80% chance of rain but the chance goes down to 60% by Wednesday. We will see rain chances all week long, but along with the rain comes a cold front that will knock our temperatures down into the mid 80′s for Tuesday and Wednesday. Overnight we will be in the lower 70′s and the same will go for the early morning hours.
