A strong summer coastal storm is set to douse Connecticut with heavy rain all day Friday.
The storm is expected to impact Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties Friday.
The system will likely dump heavy, soaking rain most of the day with up to 4 inches possible.
Rain will be fairly continuous and very heavy at times.

The storm will increase chances for street and coastal flooding and create high waves along the coastline.
The waves will bring potential for dangerous surf and beach erosion.
A subtropical storm system will douse the tri-state area with heavy rain and strong winds Friday, also creating large waves, dangerous surf, and likely causing flooding in the process.
The storm will begin early Friday morning and continue throughout the evening, moving out late Friday.
Weekend weather will be hot, humid with the chance for scattered showers.
