Two dozen staff from the Sunshine Hospital in Melbourne's west have been sent into quarantine after a patient tested positive for COVID-19.
Key points:

- Twenty-four staff members are in quarantine and testing is underway
The patient who, required emergency surgery on Thursday, developed a mild cough over the weekend, and returned a positive test result.
The patient had no known risk factors of COVID-19, Western Health's executive director of operations Natasha Toohey said.
Twenty-four staff members are self-isolating while testing is being done.
Ms Toohey said no other patients were at risk and there were no known close contacts, as the patient was being treated in a single room.
"The safety of our staff is paramount and Western Health took immediate action in response to this positive result," Ms Toohey said.
"That includes contact tracing of staff and notifying DHHS."
Childcare centre closed after suspected positive test
It comes as a suspected coronavirus case has caused the sudden closure of a childcare centre in Yarraville, in Melbourne's west.
Parents have been texted this afternoon and told to "urgently arrange" the collection of their children after a suspected positive test result at The Learning Sanctuary Yarraville.
The Learning Sanctuary said it would be closed for the rest of today and tomorrow until the results were confirmed.
The centre will also be undergoing a "professional-grade hygienic clean" during the closure, it said in a statement.
The centre said anyone, including children, staff or family members, who had any symptoms of COVID-19 should be tested.
Victorian public health officials are planning to conduct 100,000 coronavirus tests over the next two weeks.
"While we apologise for any inconvenience, the safety of our children, families and team members continues to remain our number one priority," the centre said.
The Department of Health and Human Services said it would not provide comment on individual cases.
