A WA man in his 60s has died with COVID-19 as the State’s daily infections fell to 8747 cases on Sunday.
The man died on May 3 but his death had only been reported to WA Health officials on Saturday.
The latest figures also reveal that there were 281 people with COVID-19 in hospital to 8pm on Saturday.
Eight of those patients were receiving treatment in the intense care unit.
There are currently 55,020 active cases across WA.
A total of 9389 PCR tests were conducted at either state-run or private pathology clinics on Saturday.
Of the 8747 positive cases, 2907 were confirmed via PCR test.
The remaining 5840 were self-reported positive rapid antigen tests.
The majority of cases (7241) were recorded in the Perth metropolitan area.
On Saturday, WA Health reported six historical COVID deaths and 9243 cases.
