Four people have died and two are fighting for life following a horror smash in Melbourne’s outer suburbs.
Four people have died and two others are fighting for life after a horror smash in Melbourne’s outer west on Thursday night.
A sedan was travelling east along Dohertys Road in Truganina when it smashed head-on with a small truck near Forsyth Road about 7.30pm.
Two people were killed at the scene and two others died after they were rushed to Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Two other occupants of the car remain in hospital with life-threatening injuries, Victoria Police said.
The driver and sole occupant of the truck were taken to hospital for observation.
Major Collison Investigation Unit detectives will investigate the incident on Friday.
