Victoria and South Australia appear on track to end their respective lockdowns as scheduled, but the outbreak in New South Wales continues to concern authorities.
Here's what's happening with COVID-19 across Australia by state and territory.
We'll be updating this story throughout the day as case numbers are released and we hear from health officials. So don't worry if you can't see your state or territory yet.
New South Wales
More venues have been added to the list of COVID-19 exposure sites across New South Wales.
It follows 136 locally acquired cases announced yesterday.
Fragments of the virus have been found in wastewater in the Southern Highlands, where there are no known cases.
Residents in the Highlands town of Moss Vale are being asked to get tested and isolate if they have any symptoms.
A disability service at Belmore in Sydney's south-west has been deemed a close contact venue.
A staff member at Afford Disability has tested positive, with an alert issued for four days last week.
People getting takeaway from cafes and shops at various times in Belmore, Campsie, Lakemba and Burwood are advised to get tested and isolate for 14 days regardless of the result.
Victoria
Victorians are being urged to check the growing list of exposure sites in the state, after officials added another 400 sites overnight, mostly in Melbourne's city centre and inner east.
Twelve new locally acquired cases were recorded today.
The LaCrosse apartment complex in Docklands and an apartment building in Riversdale Road Hawthorn have been identified as new exposure sites.
A service station and bottle shops in the Hawthorn area, a supermarket in Camberwell and a tobacco shop in Berwick are also on the list.
Alerts have also been issued for the route 86 tram and the Belgrave train line.
Late last night the health department advised Victoria's travel permit system will now designate areas across Australia and New Zealand as green, orange, red or extreme risk zones.
The change came into effect at midnight, with New South Wales declared an extreme risk zone.
It means those entering Victoria under that classification without an exemption will be put on a return flight or placed into 14 days mandatory hotel quarantine.
Anyone who attempts to enter Victoria illegally faces fines of more than $5,000.
Victoria's lockdown is due to be lifted on Tuesday night and officials have hinted the state is on the right track to make that happen.
South Australia
A further two coronavirus testing sites will open this weekend to help authorities cope with massive demand.
Over the past week, some have waited in COVID testing queues for more than 10 hours before being turned away because clinics were due to shut at the end of business hours.
The Premier apologised for the inconvenience and promised to reduce the wait times for testing.
A testing clinic will open at the Netball SA centre at Mile End today, while the Australian Defence Force is also setting up a clinic at its Army barracks at Warradale to provide extra capacity for priority testing for emergency service workers.
The government is also trialling a new online booking system at the Ridgehaven Waterworld testing site.
Only one locally acquired case of COVID-19 was recorded yesterday.
Queensland
Queensland has recorded zero new locally acquired COVID-19 cases today, although contract tracing will continue amid an alert involving a flight attendant.
The Brisbane woman in her thirties tested positive on Thursday and she was potentially infectious while working on QantasLink flights to-and-from Longreach, Gladstone and Hervey Bay on the 11th and 12th of July.
The woman has the Delta strain, circulating in Sydney.
While the exact source of her infection isn't known, authorities say she had been on board some regional routes into New South Wales.
Late yesterday, public health alerts were issued for the Dreamworld theme park on the Gold Coast, as well as locations at Banyo, Sandstone Point, Virginia and Caboolture.
