Victoria has recorded four new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 - ABC News

Victoria has recorded four new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 as the state works to wrap up the tail end of its Delta outbreak.

The state's health department says all of the cases have been linked to known outbreaks and all were in quarantine throughout their infectious period

The cases were detected from 25,779 test results processed on Saturday.

The state is entering its fifth day out of a lockdown prompted by the rapid spread of the highly infectious coronavirus variant.

Schools, hospitality and most businesses are back open, but private gatherings in homes remain banned.

There are now 161 active infections in the state, including those linked to hotel quarantine. That's a drop of 19 since a day earlier, when 180 cases were active.

More to come.
