A childcare centre at Seacliff is among 15 new exposure sites after South Australia’s Covid cluster grew to 12 cases on Wednesday.

Six new cases, including a child, were added to the Modbury cluster late on Wednesday.

SA authorities will give an update on any more positive cases at a press conference at 11am – which will be covered live on this blog.

But Premier Steven Marshall told Adelaide radio stations on Thursday morning there was “no serious escalation” from the briefing on Thursday morning.

“There are a couple of cases that they’re looking at and (chief public health officer) Nicola Spurrier will present those if they’re required later this morning,” he said.

The Casa Bambini childcare centre at Seacliff was attended by a Covid case on Monday, July 19, between 6.30am and 6pm. Other new exposure sites have been listed in Elizabeth, Fairview Park, Holden Hill, Seacliff, Surrey Downs, Evanston, Greenwith, Modbury and Gawler.

Testing clinics continue to be overwhelmed on Thursday morning, with wait times of up to 12 hours reported at Victoria Park.

And overnight, new legal directions came into force that allow single people to visit a friend or partner.

The change permits single people older than 16 to visit a friend or partner if they are home alone.

Here's a list of the latest Tier 1 exposure sites, which was updated late last night.

For Tier 1 exposure sites, you and your household contacts must:

  • immediately quarantine for 14 days since you were at the location
  • get tested immediately
  • get tested again on day 5 and day 13
  • complete this form to notify SA Health you were at this location.

A woman was arrested and charged at a Littlehampton supermarket after she allegedly refused several requests by police and staff to wear a mask.

Staff at the supermarket called police at about 11.30am on Wednesday and reported that she had refused several instructions by employees to wear a mask indoors.

Testing clinics across Adelaide are overrun for the third day with people waiting for hours in the extreme cold.

The Advertiser has been told waiting times remain about 12 hours at Victoria Park, and several hours at other sites including Blair Athol. There were similar scenes at testing stations on Tuesday and Wednesday.

There are also reports of a lack of traffic management and motorists jumping queues.
