NEW HANOVER COUNTY — New Hanover County ABC Stores will close early Monday in preparation of Hurricane Isaias. Winds from the storm could reach the region as early as Monday afternoon, with peak wind gusts of 80 mph predicted to reach the coast.
Instead of closing as usual at 7 p.m., the county’s eight ABC stores will close two hours early at 5 p.m.
All stores will remain closed all day Tuesday so employees can assess any potential damages. The stores are scheduled to reopen with normal hours by Wednesday.
