Health authorities have confirmed 14 new cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours, eight of which are linked to a cluster that originated in the Sydney CBD.
NSW Health is investigating whether the cluster started at the City Tattersalls Club and then spread to workplaces in the city and to households across Sydney and the Central Coast.
The Sydney CBD cluster now includes 23 cases and authorities are warning anyone who attended the City Tattersalls Club between August 4 and 18 to get tested.
Among the 14 new cases, three attended the Tattersalls club and four were close contacts of people linked to the CBD cluster.
The sources of three cases are still under investigation.
