NSW exposure sites list includes Coles, Jervis Bay campground visited by man with COVID-19 - ABC News

Health authorities have issued a list of five venues in south-east NSW visited by a confirmed COVID-19 case from Victoria.

The man, who was travelling with his wife and children, spent several days in the region before driving back to Melbourne last Monday, May 24.

Chief Medical Officer Paul Kelly said it was still unclear if the other members of his family were infectious, but health officials were following up.

NSW Health said anyone who visited an alerted venue at the relevant times must immediately get tested and isolate.

Potential exposure sites include various venues in the Jervis Bay and Goulburn areas.

NSW exposure sites visited by positive case

  • Green Patch campground, Booderee National Park, Jervis Bay, all day May 23 until 9:00am May 24
  • Cooked Goose Cafe (formerly Hyams Beach Cafe), Hyams Beach, on Sunday, May 23 between 10:00am and 12:00pm
  • Coles Vincentia Shopping Village, Vincentia, on May 23 between 12:00pm and 1:00pm
  • Shell Coles Express Big Merino, Goulburn, on Monday, May 24 between 10:00am and 11:30am
  • Trapper's Bakery, Goulburn, on Monday, May 24 between 10:30am and 11:30am

The man, who reported the onset of symptoms on May 25, drove back to Melbourne on May 24 and got tested on May 31. Victoria's stay-at-home measures took effect on May 27.

NSW Health says this list is likely to grow as contact tracers continue to investigate the movements of the case in and around the Jervis Bay area.

The Mayor of Shoalhaven in southern NSW this morning said health authorities are setting up extra COVID testing sites.

Amanda Findley said COVID testing sites are listed on the NSW Health website.

"Normal places that have been open to date are still open, so that's Shoalhaven Hospital and I expect that the Sanctuary Point Respiratory Centre will also be open this morning to take on some of that volume," she said.

"But I also encourage Shoalhaven residents to get out and have their jab if they can."
