Hi, I have easter plans for the Gold Coast leaving on Friday. Should I be preparing a Plan B?-Lizzie
From this blog seat I've had a front row view of just about every lockdown Australia has had over the past year Lizzie....and I have learned not to predict the future when it comes to these things. I'd looking at that Plan B pretty closely.
Do we know at what point the mask rule will be in place for the whole state? 5pm? Is it enforced?-Brooke
All the new lock down rules kick in at 5:00pm. The mask rules will be enforced in the Greater Brisbane region, but health authorities have asked the rest of Queensland to wear a mask if you can't socially distance for the next few days (but you won't be fined if you don't).
As a disability provider, I am required to transport someone from Toowoomba to Brisbane Airport, he is flying to Townsville. I will then be travelling back to Toowoomba, am I allowed to provide this support?-Lisa
You most certainly can, Lisa. One of the four reasons you're allowed to leave your home for the next three days is to care for a vulnerable person. You'll just need to make sure to wear a mask when you're outside your home though.
Hi I was in the Mt Coot tha national park/forest yesterday and returned to Noosa last night, do I need to do any thing?-Sharon
Following what we know Sharon, you'll need to lock down just like the rest of Greater Brisbane. The directive to stay home doesn't differentiate between where you've been in the Greater Brisbane region, only if you've been there in any capacity.
I live at n greater Brisbane area . But I work on gold coast . What does this restriction means to me-Gee man
You'll need to work from home if you can Gee man.The rules are in place to stop as much movement out of the danger areas as possible.
Is there any differing travel advice for those who have been vaccinated?-Naomi
None that we're aware of Naomi. The vaccine will stop *you* from getting sick, but the science is still out on whether vaccinated people can still spread COVID-19. You'll need to follow the lock down rules if you live in or have been in the Greater Brisbane region, vaccinated or not.
