With parents concerned about juggling work demands and children’s virtual learning routines, the Full Day Explorer Program offers a unique solution
BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - With local elementary schools and districts choosing to implement distance/in-person hybrid learning plans this fall, parents are searching for safe, new solutions for education and care. In response, Primrose School of Berkeley Heights is extending its after-school Explorer Program to provide full-day care and virtual learning support for elementary-aged children, offering a safe environment for students to engage in their schools’ online classes and complete their daily assignments. In addition, the students can participate in extracurricular activities through Primrose Schools Explorer curriculum.
The Full Day Explorer Program is designed for children in Kindergarten to fifth grade and provides in-person support to children as they engage with their local schools virtually and complete class assignments and homework on their own devices. This newly enhanced program offers flexibility and a sense of normalcy for parents and children by providing all-day care for elementary school children in a safe environment where they can continue their local education program, receive virtual learning support, engage in Primrose extracurricular activities through the Explorer curriculum, and receive a healthy lunch and snacks - all for one fee. This program is available Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., with full and partial day options available to fit your child’s school schedule.
The health and safety of children and staff has always been the highest priority at Primrose Schools. Given the current climate, protocols including maintaining low student-to-teacher ratios, disinfecting materials and surfaces frequently, and frequent communication with families have never mattered more than now. At Primrose School of Berkeley Heights, extensive additional procedures have been implemented to help keep children safe, such as kiss-and-go drop-off, daily temperature checks/health screenings, and requiring teachers to wear masks at all times.
